Building relationships with local heroes to provide programs and services that build resiliency…
The Resiliency Initiative is a program designed to provide wrap-around care for community members struggling with substance use disorder, mental health concerns, and poverty. The program provides access to treatment, sober living, and peer support.
How it Began
The Resiliency Initiative was created by a partnership between Mission of Hope, CORE Treatment Services and Impact Wisconsin in response to the growing problem of substance use disorder and mental health concerns in the community
Intersectionality
The program recognizes that these issues are often interconnected, and that people who are struggling with one issue are more likely to struggle with the others. The Resiliency Initiative aims to address all of these issues in a comprehensive way, in order to help people achieve long-term recovery.
The Science
The RCI score is a number from 1 to 100, with a higher score indicating a greater level of recovery capital. The Resiliency Initiative uses the RCI to track clients’ progress over time and to identify areas where they may need additional support. The RCI can also be used to tailor interventions to meet the individual needs of each client.
Using the power of measurable outcomes
The Resiliency Initiative is a public health program that uses the Recovery Capital Index (RCI) to guide care for clients with substance use disorder and mental health concerns. The RCI is a multidimensional survey that measures an individual’s overall wellbeing in three domains.
- Personal: This domain includes factors such as self-esteem, coping skills, and hope.
- Social: This domain includes factors such as social support, relationships, and community involvement.
- Cultural: This domain includes factors such as housing, employment, and access to healthcare.
