Meet The Need is Mission of Hope's community support program designed to help individuals and families in difficult seasons receive practical support, compassionate guidance, and connection to local resources.
We believe that when someone reaches out for help, they should be met with dignity, compassion, and a pathway forward. Our goal is not simply to hand out resources, but to listen, understand the deeper need, and help each person take the next right step toward stability.
Meeting people where they are

What Meet The Need Provides
The program helps clients and community members who are in crisis or facing hardship by providing practical supports that help them get through the immediate moment while also connecting them to longer term resources.
Gas Cards
Transportation support can help people get to work, appointments, treatment, interviews, school, or other essential commitments.
Grocery Cards
Grocery support helps individuals and families access food during times when finances are stretched or emergency needs arise.
Thrift Store Vouchers
Vouchers to The Bridge Thrift Store can help with clothing, household goods, bedding, and other essential items at a critical moment.
Hygiene Products
Hygiene items help restore dignity, health, and confidence for people and families who may be going without basic necessities.
Pantry Visits
Pantry access helps meet immediate food and household needs while our team works to connect people with additional community supports.
Peer Services
Peer support helps people feel seen, heard, and understood by someone who can walk alongside them with lived experience and compassion.
More than a handout
Meet The Need is designed to be a hand up. When someone comes to us for help, our team takes time to listen, understand what is happening behind the immediate request, and help identify resources that can support the person's overall situation.
Our goal is to connect clients, community members, and anyone in need to existing resources in Waupaca County and surrounding communities. We are one part of the social safety net, and we want to help break down silos between nonprofits, government agencies, churches, businesses, and community programs.
